In 2012, I spent six months in silence living as a monk, meditating 14+ hours a day.
No reading, writing, or contact with the outside world.
We woke up at 3am each day.
Had two small meals before noon.
Slept and meditated under mosquito nets.
And the mattresses were so thin you could squeeze them between your fingers and feel the bone on the other side.
It was the hardest experience of my life.
And the most rewarding.

And yes, I have those.
